Houston-Bugatsch Architects worked in conjunction with J-U-B Engineers on the design of both North and South Black Cat Lift Stations. Each building is designed to blend well with the surrounding suburban fabric, while maintaining a complex industrial function within and below ground.

A 6,730 square foot office and shop building which brings together all the elements of the Highway District in one building. The shop is a spacious metal building with four service bays and a connection to the wood-framed office portion. The office portion houses a meeting room, reception area, lounge and private offices.

Campbell Company, Boise, ID


Campbell Company, Boise, ID



Campbell and Company is a 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility with approximately 4,000 square feet of office space. The pre-engineered metal building utilizes a full height curtain wall framing system to create the appearance of a flat roofed structure. Exterior materials and colors were selected by the Owner to match naturally occurring rock formations in one of his favorite Idaho canyons.

Restoration project included demolition of more recent awnings, storefront system, doors and windows in both buildings. The demolition allowed for a blank canvas in designing and building a more historically accurate facade that related to both buildings.
